Are you practical, reliable, and take pride in keeping sites safe, secure, and well maintained? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Relief Mobile Caretaker to support our facilities team across a number of locations in the Derbyshire area.
Covering Saint John Houghton School, DE7 4HX, you may also be required to work at sites within the DE1, DE7, DE21, DE23 and DE55 postcode areas. This is a flexible, ad hoc role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and can adapt to different environments.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Relief Mobile Caretaker, you will play a key role in ensuring our sites remain safe, clean, secure, and welcoming. Duties will include:
* Opening and locking facilities, key holder responsibilities
* Waste management and recycling duties
* Porterage and site support tasks
* General maintenance and minor repairs
* Light decorating work
* Cleaning and housekeeping duties
* Supporting the smooth day to day operation of school and commercial sites
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who:
* Has experience in caretaking, maintenance, facilities, trades, or general handyperson work
* Delivers excellent customer service and communicates effectively
* Works well independently and as part of a team
* Takes pride in maintaining high standards
