Relief Mobile Caretaker

About the Role
Based in the Ilkeston and Long Eaton area, this role is offered on a zero hours contract to provide cover for annual leave and sickness.
Typical working hours are:
- 7:00am to 10:00am
- 3:00pm to 6:30pm
Travel time from home to site and back will be paid, along with mileage expenses.
You will play a key role in providing high quality caretaking services, ensuring our clients' environments remain safe, secure, clean and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out day to day maintenance and minor repairs.
- Ensuring heating, lighting and alarm systems are operating correctly.
- Completing and recording routine checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
- Monitoring site stock levels and undertaking cleaning duties where required.
- Demonstrating a strong awareness of Health and Safety and attending relevant training courses, all training will be provided.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, security and presentation across sites.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Experience in a similar caretaking, facilities or maintenance environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A team player who is committed to providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group.
- The ability to make sound decisions with the needs of the business in mind.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to respond effectively to colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- A flexible approach with the ability to adapt to change in a growing organisation.

- Good attention to detail, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and maintenance are achieved.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following health and safety procedures.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous for this mobile role.
